The Edu4Migration
Project is dedicated to enhancing the competencies of current and future social workers in Kosovo and Albania to better address the unique challenges faced by migrant populations. As migration issues become increasingly critical, the need for social workers equipped with specialized knowledge and skills to support migrant populations is more pressing than ever.
Equipping social workers to transform challenges into opportunities for migrants
This project seeks to bridge a significant educational gap in social work programs, where comprehensive coursework on migration studies is currently lacking. Through educational reform, the development of digital micro-credential courses, and ongoing capacity-building initiatives, we aim to empower both future and current social workers with the tools necessary to effectively serve migrant communities.
Our multi-phased approach focuses on improving higher education curricula to better prepare students for careers in social work, as well as offering practicing professionals flexible, online learning opportunities for continuous development. By providing social workers with the expertise to advocate for migrant needs, this project will contribute to more inclusive and positive outcomes for both migrants and host communities in Kosovo and Albania.
Together, we are working to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for migrants through strengthened social work practices and enhanced professional development opportunities. Join us in our mission to empower social workers and make a meaningful impact on migrant communities.
