Global Perspectives on Migration and Social Work Highlighted in Two-Day International Hybrid Student Conference

The International Hybrid Student Conference on Social Work and Migration – “Challenges, Resilience, and Innovative Practices in Supporting Migrant Communities” took place on March 26–27, 2026, as part of the Edu4Migration project, hosted at LOGOS University College in Tirana and AAB College in Prishtina.

The conference brought together students, academics, and professionals to discuss key issues in migration and social work. Over the two days, sessions focused on structural and policy challenges, the need for more inclusive institutional frameworks, and psychosocial support for individuals and communities affected by migration.

Discussions emphasized resilience and community-based approaches, strengthening local capacities, and promoting sustainable support systems for migrant populations. Particular attention was given to the psychological dimension of migration, including mental health, emotional well-being, acculturative stress, and barriers to reporting gender-based violence.

Students and researchers presented studies and innovative practices, fostering international cooperation and interdisciplinary dialogue. The conference served as a vital platform for exchanging ideas, experiences, and sustainable solutions in the field of migration and social work.
