In Vejle, Denmark, the Training of Trainers activity was held within the framework of the WB-Edu4Migration project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission. AAB College, represented by Project Coordinator Prof. Ardian Sallauka and Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Prof. Jeton Brajshori, participated as the projectβs main coordinator.
This training aimed to strengthen the pedagogical skills of academic staff and social work professionals working with migrants and refugees by providing new teaching methods to support their integration into society.
During the three days of training, project partners engaged in interactive sessions on Problem-Based Learning, Socratic questioning and debates, as well as scenario-based didactics, under the guidance of experts from UCL University College.
On the final day, sixth-semester students from the Social Work program at UCL joined the training to test the newly introduced methodologies in practice. The activity concluded with an inspiring lecture by Ms. Razan Haugaard, who shared her personal story as a refugee from Kurdistan (Iraq) and the vital role of social work in the integration process.
The training concluded with a friendly dinner and cultural exchange among participants, further strengthening inter-institutional ties and the collaborative spirit of the project.
Through this activity, AAB College reaffirmed its leading role in developing educational strategies that support the integration of migrants and refugees, as well as in enhancing contemporary practices in social work education.
